Last night, I made a pretty awesome dinner and cracked open a bottle of wine. And then drank the entire thing. Remember when I said that my entire Blackberry needed Google's Mail Goggles (which makes you do math problems before it will send an email in the middle of the night)?
Yeah.
Sorry about those texts . . . everyone. Well, except for Mo. That whole adoption plan I designed for us? That's still totally on.
I'm also pretty sure I committed to buying some airline tickets today. I'm not blaming the wine for that one either.

Chili Bowl plans are humming along. Dad and the drivers David are headed out on Friday night or Saturday morning with the race cars. I will be leaving on Tuesday night. My original plan was to get there in time for Thursday's event, but now I'll be there for Wednesday too. Score.

Amy of the Ooops Sisters sent me this video this morning. The Avett Brothers performing "Laundry Room" live on NPR. So so so in love.
They are going to be in Milwaukee and Chicago over the weekend of my birthday. I'm pretty sure that Amy loves me enough to fly in for it. Anybody else interested?

23 days until I see Rosanne Cash live for only my 2nd time ever. Is it weird to be nervous? Is it strange to already feel fluttery and transformed?

I found out this morning that one of my favorite humor writers, Wendi Aarons, is a North Dakota native. I now feel like it's even more fated that I fell in love with her at the BlogHer humor panel.

This week, years past:
2009: We made Wrecks walk the Cheese Plank and Marc mocked somebody's taste in music. (SHOCK! HORROR!)
2008: The Stately Manor Snowboarding Park opened in our backyard.
2007: Becca flew from New York to Chicago and back in the same day just to hang out with me.
2006: I posted my favorite blog post title ever.

For the record, the boots I bought that day are still awesome, and I wear them frequently.
The pants are too big. Yay.
