One thing I forgot to mention in yesterday's post about dating: Dear Mo, I STOLE ANOTHER TALL GUY. Love, Jane

I had a sushi date with Boom last night and it was, per usual, AWESOME. Any event that begins with somebody jumping out of a car and singing and dancing to "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" while walking towards me is just bound to be amazing, right?
Boom is much like me, she's always paying attention to the song in the background during our encounters. During our last sushi date, every song that played seemed to convey some deep message, adding to the conversation, making me even more introspective.
This time, every song that came on made me look at her, give her two thumbs up, and say "OH MY GOD THIS IS THE GREATEST SONG EVER."
The difference is that last time, I was sobbing the entire time, and this time, I was laughing the entire time, and the music wasn't really any different at all. "Kung Fu Fighting" is not the greatest song ever, Boom. How did you refrain from knocking my crazy grinning face right off that chair?

I took a friend to Verizon on Tuesday night to help him pick out a new phone, and I got to play with the Droid a lot.
Blackberry, we've had a good run.

Moving this close to a Starbucks with a drive-thru is the most expensive decision I've ever made.

I'll be in DuQuoin this weekend for the POWRi show. We will have the 6 and the 6T (oh, fine, call it the 16 but it will forever be the T car to me). Live updates for David and David will be ghostwritten by Jane, unless I can't manage it when they are battling for the lead against each other, and then I'll spin one of them off to DuMom.
I leave at 8 am on Saturday morning, provided that I don't get left behind. My official role on the race team is "toddler forgotten at rest area".

This week, years past:
2009: I was in North Dakota.
2008: I began my love affair with my first DSLR.
2007: Dispatch from midnight from Alexandria, Minnesota, a McClean County Sherriff's Report, and I looked too far into a North Dakota horizon. I don't know why I include so many links from this time period when my writing wasn't all that spectacular. Probably because the week, the trip, the circumstances forever changed me.
